Hand-crafted drawings, paintings, and prints from The Columbia River Gorge
Drawing
I love drawing for its immediacy, its honesty, and its rawness. Some of these pieces are commissions, some are my own work, but all are focused on the simple beauty of ink on paper.

Painting
My first real training as an artist took place in the theater. There, I fell in love with the act of painting. As I learned to saturate seventy-five foot backdrops with imagery, texture, and life, the pigments themselves seeped through my clothes and into my bones.

Printmaking
I love the physicality of printmaking; it is the ideal combination of art, science, technology, and magic. All of my prints are lovingly hand-crafted using centuries-old methods, and exist only in limited editions. Some of these pieces are commissions, some show my own passions, but all are made with love, time, and a whole lot of muscle.

Teaching
I have been teaching art at Columbia High School in White Salmon, Washington since 2018. As the only art teacher in our school, I get to teach a little bit of everything. Prior to starting at CHS, I taught for one year at Pacific Crest Innovation Academy, a micro-high school in Mill A, Washington. I hold a Master's Degree from Lewis & Clark College in Teaching Art (K-12) and a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art from the University of Virginia.
Before enrolling in graduate school, I spent four years teaching short-term art residencies through local artist advocates, Arts in Education of the Gorge. I feel so fortunate to have been associated with this amazing organization, as they were my backbone in the various classes I taught throughout the Gorge. No two classes were quite the same; I taught a wide range of classes from kindergarten block printing to high school screenprinting and lithography, with some fifth grade mural painting thrown in between.
